Loving retirement, travel, and spending time on photography. Trying to keep active and healthy. My husband Randy and I spend winters in Cedar City, Utah and summers in the mountains near Yellowstone. We love to be in wild places, and favorite activities are hiking, bird watching, and river rafting. A small photography business keeps us busy in retirement, selling our nature photos and sharing them on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+). I enjoy writing about travel and photography and have contributed periodic articles to National Parks Traveler as well as creating a blog about some of our favorite images and the places they were made. Our first grandchild was born this summer, and the second is due later this year.
Life has been good to me and I am thankful for many blessings. After Las Lomas I graduated from UC Irvine, finished graduate school at the U of Michigan, lived in Massachusetts and Mississippi, had opportunities for travel, taught college for a few years, then had a 35-year career in fund raising, mostly in higher education. My work as VP for Advancement for a university was fulfilling. Randy and I met 21 years ago on a rafting trip in Montana and Idaho, and now we have a cabin in the same area where we met. Our passion for wildlife and for exploring nature has influenced our travel choices to national parks, and to places like Galapagos, Alaska, and Kenya.
Looking forward to seeing former classmates at our reunion and finding out what people been doing for the last fifty years!
